Behavioral Health Director
Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center is seeking a motivated and energetic LCSW/Clinical Psychologist to serve as our Behavioral Health Director. The ideal candidate should identify as a generalist and feel competent working with the following populations: Children, adolescents, adults, clients with comorbid conditions (ex. Trauma histories and SUDs). Experience collaborating in an interdisciplinary setting preferred.
This position includes clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Clinical duties include the following: assessments, screenings, and counseling patients of all ages in conjunction with the medical team to enhance, meet, or restore a patient's behavioral health. Participate in development of care plans. Coordinate with case management/case coordination services to patients. Provide counseling/therapy to patients who may require complex intervention, including those who may be harmful to themselves or others.
Administrative responsibilities include planning, implementing, and coordinating outpatient behavioral health services and maintaining current knowledge regarding techniques, skills, and current practices to effectively serve patients. Successful candidate will have leadership skills and help to build the behavioral health team and the Center’s behavioral health service continuum.
The ideal candidate will be licensed in the state of Georgia as a psychologist or licensed clinical social worker. Experience with individual therapy, group therapy and psychological assessment preferred. Knowledge of psychopharmacology for consultations with medical providers preferred.
Works in the context of a community health center and Patient Centered Medical Home located in beautiful mountain setting but within easy commute distance of northern Metro Atlanta. Must have unrestricted and appropriate licensure within the state of Georgia.
